hello people

can anybody help me identify this triumph please

What Triumph

It belonged to my partner's dad - that's her mum and aunt sitting on it

the bike used to run in the Syresham, Northamptonshire UK area

We think it's a 50's bike

we are trying to find out the model - any known specs - engine size etc - what type of front of front suspension is that? - what might have happened to it - is it still around

Looks like a T80 or T90, 350 or 500 single, early 30s.

Fork is a Triumph lightweight girder.

Yep, I reckon it is probably a Tiger80 350 single.

IIRC A Val Page design.

Just prior to WW2.

Good answer Mechanica

your reply prompted me to google Triumph T80 and I found this website

if you look at the T80 the exhaust configuration doesn't match the photo but the forks and, particularly the slanted casing beneath the cylinder is definately right for the T80

The T100 has a similar exhaust and forks but that engine casing does not match - I wonder if it is a T80 with another exhaust on it

We know that he owned the bike just after the war - hence the lady wearing trousers - but we don't know if he bought it new or second hand - research is still being done

can anyone out there in the UK tell me when the registration was likely to have been issued

Looks like the bike has the early duplex frame, they used a single tube frame in the late 30s.
T100 was a twin, used a heavier girder fork.
Handsome bike, and same for the ladies.
Wups.........tuning up my glasses, it has the single tube frame, so is later model. I go with late forties.
