Depends on what you wanna do with it. 57 originally had a swingarm frame. If it's an ORIGINAL rigid frame, then you have something, even if the engine and frame don't have matching numbers. If it's a chopper, then you really don't know what you're getting.
Look at the overall physical condition of the parts, any broken fins? Any holes in the cases? Does it have a magneto and is it a K2F or a K2FC or perhaps a BTH....there should be a tag on the mounting flange. Can you turn the engine over? Can you shift all four gears in the box? Is there a primary case and clutch in the pile? Do all the parts seem to be Triumph?
I'd say offhand that a decent pre-unit engine, gearbox, primary is worth nearly the 750. If it has a usable title, then it's a deal.
Photos would be very helpful.

If it is an original "rigid frame", it might be one of the military 500cc sidevalve models which stayed in production up into the '60s. It's probably a 650 that's been customized on a former life, however. Check those #'s out carefully. I believe that the military one was called the TRW.

Hope this helps: Jim

The engine's serial number is stamped on the left crankcase below the cylinder....It should be D XXX to D XXXXX and TR6 or T100 or T110 or 5T or 6T with a funny little wheel stamp. Something like that.
The frame number is usually on the left side of the steering head and hopefully will be the same. Or similar.

Try this for some help
