I have been getting prices from a few different bike shops on the price and availability of reproduction fenders to suit a 1963, 64, 65, 66 T120 Bonneville. The replies I am getting is quite confusing. They are all different lengths and widths. Can someone tell me the correct length and width of the front and rear fenders to suit my bike (1963). I know the correct rear fender for 1963 is ribbed but I have been unable to find a reproduction for this in Australia so I am quite prepared to fit fenders from a little later model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Ken

Those would be blade edge, but the rolled edge from later bikes was introduced to keep fenders from cracking. Looks or function? Since you may not get the exact type (ribbed) that you want, maybe you should go for broke and get a rolled edge one for function. Just a thought.

Hi Mecchanica
It sounds like the rolled edge fenders are the way to go. My Triumph is a 1963 T120 but is not 100% authentic so I am not that fussy about having a ribbed rear fender. I do have an original number plate/tail light bracket so would prefer a correct length/width fender to suit this and I do like the look of chrome fenders. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Ken

check bac later i will measure a few fenders for u
first understand I am most familiar with US models and what follows is based on US models UK and General Export models were in some ways different.
the front fenders i measured a used 77Silver Jubilee(37"long) a used T140 approx 73/74 (36"long) and a repo 63thur 67 fender(33 1/2"long)all were 4 1/4"wide.
I believe 68 to 70 fenders will measure the same as the 63/67 ones
a rear repo 63/67 fender I have measures approx 47" long and 5 3/4" wide 68 thru 70 should be the same.
I'll try to get to my used orig metal tomorrow or Saturday
for better measurements.
If it were me and Iwanted shiny fenders I would get a set of Repo stainless fenders for a 68 to 70 TR6C. but they will not be cheap so be careful when you drill holes

I'm on Kadutz' side here, the SS fenders are the bomb ......... if you want to change tanks, like I do occasionally, then you don't have to change the painted fenders. I have a Bonneville tank for daily riding and a big TR6R tank for Labor Day blasts on the Big Island.......waaaay fewer gas stations over there. I have them painted differently and with the SS fenders, it's no problem. If you buff them up, they are lovely, and little maintenance. Order a set of 68 Bonneville fenders. The Canadian R and C models came with stainless fenders through 70. The 1970 rear fender is a little different as it has the small holes in the left side for the vent hose clips, which you won't need. But that's only stock or NOS items.
