Sad to say Moore's Cycle Supply is retiring from the Classic Parts business. Everything on the shelves is 30% off. All sales are final. Free shipping over one hundred dollars. Four working days delivery. I bought a new set of pipes and a new seat and stocked up on maintenance items. I've been using them exclusively for over 20 years, except when I made a mistake and used someone else. I don't know about prices since I don't comparison shop, but they always seemed reasonable. I've always been more interested in quality and fast delivery. Hate to see them go. I figured it would be a good time to buy some high ticket items. Thought I'd pass it on. Frank

I've had good business with Moore's, too.

That makes 3 or 4 of the major long-time players either scaling back or retiring in less than a year.

I guess proliferation of the internet has cut into everyone's bottom line...

I called them up yesterday and ordered a bunch of little things I might need, ie a new dry battery ( these will stay forever as long as they are dry), some tools, and a few other misc stuff. They already have gone thru a lot of stuff.

Yea, Go figure. I just bought my first Triumph and picked it up on Sat. I called them Monday morning to order a seat cover and some other stuff. The good thing is I got them cheap, the bad thing is they are closing. I talked to the woman on the line and she said it was just time to retire. Sad to see them go and I barely know them.

So where do I go next for parts?

VW, read the sticky at the top of the forum. There are still plenty of reputable people.

I talked with the owner yesterday and he sad business was great. The hours were too long and they wanted to slow down and try something else. Godd for them, bad for us.

His wife completed the MSF Course a couple months ago with an acquaintance of mine.

She said that they planned on retiring shortly and spending some time together enjoying life and doing some riding together.
