Hi Guys,
I made diagrams of existing 'chop job" (be afraid, be very afraid!), studied my diagrams for a few days and started snipping. Not wanting to just do it all & expect everything to work (never happen)... I am testing as I go. I've got the ignition end all put together... Battery, coils, condensors, rectifier, zener, grounds, wires to points, flasher (using automotive flasher with one wire in-one wire out) & wires to Alternator. Fuse is OK.
I finally got started in the headlight shell & decided to check what I had done so far. I found that the Blue/Brown wire at the ignition switch has no voltage. If I take the rectifier out of the loop (disconnect Blue/ Brown at rectifier)... I do get voltage.
I did try completing the circuit with ignition switch fully hooked up and engine kill loop effective... connecting Yellow/White & White but no joy.
Thanks in advance guys!
