After putting new shell bearings, pistons, etc. the motor turned over just fine but the clutch pops and won't engage completly.I replaced the clutch the same way it came out.It required some adjustment before taken apart. The plates are about .030.Should i replace them and see what i come up with. Thanks for any advice i just want to ride.

hotrod,
Time for new clutch driven plates, I'm afraid. Also check the condition of the three clutch pressure springs. Free length should be 43.50mm, or 1.75" - any less, replace them as well.

If your getting new plates, clutch springs are cheap, get them also. No sense trying to save a few dollars here.
