I have drained the oil after a rebore and 750 miles - it is black - is this normal?

Sure seems so to me. Mine is always black, probably from the blow-by of the combustion chambers.

They used to sell motor oil with graphite in it. Pretend that is what you run. Yes, it's normal. :razz:
