Hiya, I don't frequent this forum often, mostly in the General or Speed Triple forums.
I have a line on a reasonably good looking 1959 Tiger 650. It's for sale in Sydney and the guy is asking $6,900 AUD. It looks honest, and while I didn't get to ride it (yet) or start it, it has good compression, reasonable paint, chrome and everything works. It still has original Amal Carb and Lucas Electrics. The swingarm has some movement, but apart from that it seems reasonably solid.
According to the dealer, it has had only two owners since new and still has full registration.
Can anyone give me any thing I should be especially careful about? I'm still unsure about it, but this is exactly what I've been looking for as a project bike.
Cheers
Mick
