I see alot of people on here running avon roadrunners and i was wondering since this is a tubeless how this is possible. Forgive me if this is a dumb question but i need to order new tires and i want the roadrunners but i dont want to order them if they will not work with my stock rims.

Thanks

-Matt.

there is no dumb question(dumb dont ask he knows!)
you simply put a tube inside like for another tire it works and modern tire like avon are far better than the old ones.

hey thanks for the answer. So then what distinguishes a tubless tire from a tire that req's a tube?

you can use a tubeless type tire with a tube but you can't go
the other way.
reason is the way the bead seating area on the wheel is made and the tire bead seating area.
now go bac to studying for your finals -)

The other main difference between the two types is, tubeless tyres have a different INSIDE rubber layer. This is thicker and softer than tube type. The reason for this is to hold and seal around any foreign body (nail, screw etc) which has punctured the tyre.
Alan Blake, now retired but was the motor cycle tyre sales manager for Avon tyres for years was testing and developing tubeless tyres on a Speedtwin back in 1959, With SPOKE WHEELS!
