She was an airhead. Too young for me. Thought World War II was a rock group. Definitely too young for me. I was separated at the time with good reason on my wife's part. Oh well, definitely too young. Whiskey under the bridge. She loved my Harley. :-D

I am wierd, I'll admit.

My '67 & '70 Bonnies both have points and I have no intention of changing that. My '69 has a magneto and it will start first kick every time, no way I'm changing that! Both my '79 Specials have the stock RITA and there's no way I'm changing that. All the rest of my Bonnies - '65 chopper, '67 bobber, '68 restoration & '73 resto (all unfinished projects) have Boyer boxes and there is no way I'm changing that.

So, if you have points, just sort them properly. If you can't get the bike to be happy, install an electronic box (properly), set it & forget it.

we forgive your wierd problem
half your problem is that you are from more South than West Texas. (but I can umderstand that since I was born in more South than West Ol Cantuck!)
the other half is no reflectors on your Victor

I have the reflectors for the Victor, but I dislike the looks of them and I'm passing them on to my customer for his 441 restoration.

Update on the electronic ignition. After much heartache, it seems I got a lemon as far as the ignition was concerned. Discovered that reason for the pinging and hesitation and stalling was the timing became WAY TOO advanced on this particular kit. Adjusting the timing did not help as it would continously advance. Ended up replacing the WHOLE system (under warranty - no charge)with a new Boyer and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks again for all the comments. Cheers.
