Well, I put the battery, oil and gas in the 77 today. "Tickled" the ticklers. 3 maybe 4 kicks and we're in business! Took short ride to gas station to top off tank. Runs like the beauty she is! Sounds like ONLY a Meriden twin can! No leaks. No sputters. Life is GOOD. Go to the pump, gas = $3.09/gal hi test. Life SUCKS ! Rode home an d "put her away" for more "economical" times.! :???:

Don't let the price of gas stop you. My 76 gives better mileage the my van. So when things warm up I will hit the road on it and leave the Toyota for my wife unless I need the space to carry something. Gas here is$1.17 Lt . Rod

Seriously man. What is 3 X 3 gallons... 9 bucks!! Where else can you go and have a hell of a good time under 10 bucks these days?!?!? Nowhere...so go ride and have a hell of a good time!! The riding season is too short. In a couple of months you will be complaining about how the weather sucks and you can't ride so go ride.

I've got a great idea. Sell the bikes and use the money to buy bottled spring water (at something like $1.09 a pint) and sit under a tree and drink it, until all the money is gone. See how much fun you can have with that money you didn't spend on fuel. Just for the record, I'm spending about $6.00+ per gallon for the Cam2 I use in my '70. At least it's more fun to send it out the pipes than down the pipe, if you catch my drift.

Riding is still the most fun you can have with your clothes on: Jim

1st choice

Sell the hinckey rckt twee thingy then you have money for fuel! (besides I bet in 10 or 12 years you will still be able to get parts easier for the 77 than the 05)

2nd choice

My offer still stands for your bike be glad to meet you at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame on our way round the curve. (We are going to have to shuffle off to Buffalo) Then you can buy fuel for the rckt twee thingy.

3rd choice

Move to Utah saw on the tv this morning somplace out there still has reg gas @ $2.26 gal(bet dat dont last for long)

by da way if $3.00 a gal fuel is the worst ting in your life you be a verrrry lucky person (even if you do live round Cleveland) :-D

Refreshing as always guy's. I could always quit smoking. An extra $35 a week probably offset the increase in petrol. What do you think? Sounds easier than doing
