So I just picked up a 73 Bonnie 750 and need a few things for it. Little stuff like the Triumph logo gas tank bolt plug, 5 Speed sticker for the fender, front master cylinder and cap, and a few other things. I am also wonder if you can replace the triangle Triumpg logo on the timing cover. Mine has been polished too much and all the black paint and logo are gone. It is riveted on but can you replace it? Also need to find the paint code for the bike. It is red with gold scallops and white pin striping. Paint is original but pretty faded with a few chips. Thanks

<<Triumph logo gas tank bolt plug, 5 Speed sticker for the fender, front master cylinder and cap, and a few other things>>

All are readily available through numerous sources. IO can quote the whole lot, e-mail me...

Yep, you need to VERY CAREFULLY pry the plate off without scratching the cover, then use a pair of needle-nose vice-grips to grab the tiny heads and GENTLY twist them out anti-clockwise (they are tap-in screws). I can also get the new plate & screws.

Paint codes do not exist as such, only Triumph color names. Don Hitchinson Cycles can get the perfect match paint for you.

If you can rebuild your front master cylinder. If not hold onto your pants!

Actually, new Lockheed master cylinders are not that hard to get, and not excessively pricey...

Glad to see the storms didn't get you

If you are careful drive rivets can be reused I have found duck bill pliers work best for the removal as they don't damage the rivet.

While complete Master cyl assys are available you can also purchase just the barrel(you still have to get a seal kit),
a barrel with seals installed or you can just try a rebuild kit.
the latter of course depends on the condition of the existing barrel. All these parts are now available in stainless steel.

all parts need should be easily available on line or thur advertisers in various vintage magazines. You can also google TIOC and go to the triumph intl owners club website
they have many good dealers listed.
Congrats on the new scoot!

I got an invoice here from "Klempf's" for $175 bucks for a rear master cylinder plus a rear hose. (I believe they are the same front & back), on 8/7/90. That little hose must have been made of gold. Maybe china makes a cheap copy now. If they do, I wouldn't recommend it. I think175 bucks is almost, excessively expensive, for a little master cylinder now, and I know it was then. I guess it depends on how rich you are. I've been dealing with Moore's Cycle Parts and have been well satisfied. Good luck on your venture.

British Only lists the body for $60, Plunger for $15, and rebuild kit for $13. Those are the only parts that typically need replacing unless the reservoir is shot, another $10.

I can beat those prices by just a bit.

Nah, not ripped off, pretty much average. Several of the "big" resellers list them about where you paid. Once in a while, you can find a deal.

I didn't intend for my business to be in onsie-twosie special parts orders, but lots of folks are asking me for stuff. Trouble is, my time to source the parts, receive and ship them, etc., makes it a losing deal unless I've been twiddling my thumbs (WHICH I HAVEN'T!).

kawtoy: Try Baxter Cycle in Marne Iowa (712)781-2351.
If they don't have it or can't get it, then it's probably made out of unobtainium.
