Anyone ever encounter more than one spacer under their engine sprocket during rebuild? It seems that upon reassembly, I wound up with an additional spacer, actually a washer that is the exact size-sans width- of the spacer. Neither the replacement parts catalog, nor the repair manual mention the part; however, the repair manual does state the following: "note the disposition of the rotor, engine sprocket and any spacer(s) fitted as an aid to correct assembly," implying that there could be more than one. I usually take good notes, but I obviously messed up and overlooked the "disposistion," and failed to account for the part. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Hank P.S. I am referring specifically to my 72' Daytona.

Justblike the book says, could be one or more to properly align the chain.

Yuk! Yank the clutch back out...

If you don't do it now, for free, you'll do it later at a cost.

Thanks GPZ, actually I did not have the clutch all the way in, just the engine sproccket, chain, and outer hub. I will however have to redo the 24 free floating roller bearings. No biggie though, I rather enjoyed that part. Hank
