Hi, my grandfather has a bunch of old Motorcycles from the days he had a motorcycle shop in Indianapolis, Indiana back in the late 60's/early 70's.

Does anyone know what these two motorcycles are? One says Triumph on the gas tank and the other is slightly larger and says "TWN Cornet" on the gas tank. I can only assume the later is also a Triumph? It appears to be two stroke, electric start. Are these worth anything? They may be up for sale this summer. I can provide the numbers on them if that would help. I will also try to get better pictures.

I hope this is in the correct forum. Any help identifying these would be greatly appreciated.

O.K. Maverick,

Here goes: The one in the foreground appears to be a Triumph Cub (Tiger Cub), a 200cc single 4 stroke. It looks like a regular street model. The TWN should be a Triumph Werke Nuremberg, made in Germany. My buddy had one some years back, so I do remember the name. It's a 2 stroke but I can't remember the displacement. I think that the German company was an affiliate of the British one, but don't hold me to it. Values? I can't say.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone: Jim

Hi Maverick, Jim has is nailed! The Tiger cub looks to be a T20 model from 1957. Engine number should be between 26267 and 35846.
Yes, TWN from Germany, probably 250cc and yes, 2 stroke.
Roy.

Thanks! :chug:

I may try to clean these up and get one or both of them running this summer, haven't decided yet. They are neat looking old motorcycles. My grandfather rode the TWN for years, I'd almost hate to sell it but I hate even more to see it sit there and rust.

Thanks again.
