I just finished reading "Leanings" by Peter Egan. This is a great book for anyone who likes classic or modern motorcycling and stories about adventure or music. This is a collection of Peter's articles that appear in Cycle World magazine.

I also reccommend "Turners Triumphs". This is a detailed history of Edward Turners history and the years he spent creating the "Greatest Motorcycles in the World." You can find both on Ebay. :upthumb:

Jupiters travels by Ted Symons is also a good read... available from amazon.com......

Incidentally, for anyone living in France who prefers reading English, it is usually cheaper to order the books from Amazon.com in the US than from Amazon.co.uk. especially much cheaper for the postage... ???? now work that one out.

for example.. ( from memory) my bmw manual was £18 + about £12 from UK but from USA was $18 plus $8 to France...
given that the Haynes manual was printed in the UK and shipped to the US it just serves to confirm we are ripped off in the UK.

check www.overstock.com
I just bought a book on EBAY by accident (to long a story to tell here) I could have got the same book WITH shipping on overstock for approx $7 less check them out.
Ted Simon's other book Riding High is also excellent as is Peter Egan's book Leanings 2.
If you have ever gone thru the "fun" of restoring a bike get Rebuilding The Indian. It has just been reprinted.

Ted Simon is a neat guy. Meeting him on a book signing tour is cool. Having him stop by our house for dinner and then do a talk for some of our friends is WAY COOLER. He is on personal guy. His latest adventure is available from him direct. It is a CDROM version of the story of his riding a GASP BMW around the world.
