Hello from Australia! Name's Andrew, this is a great website!

I'm the happy owner of an '04 Sprint ST, but I need help ID'ing a classic Triumph (see link)

http://photobucket.com/albums/f180/S...Triumph350.jpg

All I know is that its a 1934 model, 350cc. Sorry about the quality, its a scan of a photo from 1946. If any of you wise folk recognise the model and can offer any info I'd be most grateful.

Cheers.

Hi,

Welcome!
I think the picture is of a model NM with the fashionable Sloper engine which was produced only for a few years, from 1931 for this model. The exhaust looks more modern, so may have been later in the production years?

Perhaps somebody else can provide more information, and perhaps can confirm for you.

Is it a relative?

Geoff

That is a beautiful machine. Is it still more or less in that condition? I would dearly love to have a bike older than me, especially a pre-war model!

Welcome.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Geoff, the rider is my father, photo taken 60 years ago when he was 22. Possibly a model NM then? Gives me something to go on, thanks.

Paul, I'd love to know the condition of the bike too, but it left the family around 60 years ago, and may not even exist anymore. I'd surely love to track it down though.

Anyone know of any online sources of info for Triumphs of this vintage? I've had a bit of a search, but so far no luck.

Cheers

A
