Thanks to everyone

Thanks to GrandpaulZ, Mr. Pete, Shrugger, Snakeoil and anyone else I forgot for the advice, assistance and parts over the last 5 years. My sweet little 64 Trophy SR has gone to a new home in Omaha, Nebraska and to a happy new owner. I'm out of the vintage Triumph world now, it was great and a lot of fun but it's time for something new. To that end the Trophy was traded for a 2005 Ducati fuel injected sport tourer and I'm off on a new adventure.

Hey! Just because you got a new bike doesn't mean you have to disappear. Enjoy your new ride.

A Ducati, huh? That should be fun.

Can we expect you to start an olive oil thread soon?

Don't be a stranger.

regards,
Rob

Hey, I didn't die I just traded my vintage bike for a modern fuel injected 108 HP Italian.

You'll find me on tour with Jason Aldean. That's really what prompted this; he sold a million tickets last year and this year will be bigger, cutting into wrench/riding time. So I get to choose: wrench or ride? I choose to ride this year as I only managed to put 500 miles on the TR6 last year. With my Hinckley and the Duc I'll be able to come in from the road put in a 20 minute pre-ride check and go. And it's a lot more likely I won't be stopping to hunt for self ejecting parts ;-)

In retrospect I should have chosen my vintage bike more carefully. A second year unit bike just requires much more input than my situation allows; I'd have been much better off with a sorted out 70s model.
