conrod question

Should there be this much side to side play on the big ends? I don't have any movement up and down but there seems to be a lot of slop in the bearing?
There was hardly any side to side movement when the pistons were in the cylinder block but when I removed the barrels there is much play on what seems to be in the big end bearings. is there side to side play on the big ends? I don't have any movement up and down but there seems to be a lot of slop here. Could the connecting rod bolts be loose?
I just wanted to change my base gasket not intending to split the cases. The bike was running ok but now I am concerned.
Thanks for having a look.

No, the bolts cannot be loose, if the bike was running ok.

There is no spec or maximum for sideplay on big ends.

If you are worried, reassemble it as it is and check hot oil pressure.

How much side to side play is there? This will help those who know better than me to offer a considered opinion. I have read that 1mm would be OK.

Thanks !
As soon as I posted I saw the "Similar Threads" listed at the bottom of the page I have to remember to use the search function.
From an older post I see that I am just within Mr. Pete's specs - old post here.
Big relief !
