I've looked at a few pics of restored bike and it appears that the rockerbox oil feel pipe that attaches to the rocker spindles via banjo bolts, is plated, with either cadmium or zinc. Mine has no plating on it, probably gone with age.

Just want to confirm that the pipe is indeed plated.

Hi Rob.
Mine still had a little plating left on it. I would presume it was cad like the hardware but i dont know. Had it re done in bright zinc.

Thanks Rod. Guess I'll be plating that pipe with zinc. Although polished brass would have been a nice "vintage" touch.
