T100c exhaust.

Hi All

I'm currently working on a 1970 T100c and need to know how the exhaust system fits together. The main problem is getting parts from vendors that actually fit together properly. Any info regarding the size of the inside diameter or outside diameter of the H pipe and mufflers would be usfull. Anyone got a close up photo of this section of the exhaust on their bikes? Any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi

I've had similar aggro on my T100c although mine is a 68 has the pipes offset and doesn't use the H piece.

If you do a search for 1970 T100c on here I'm sure you will find someone who has one or has rebuilt one and they should oblige with a detailed photo.

Depending on what parts you have already and what you need you are probably best advised trying to get everything from one supplier. I got my downpipes and mufflers from Sheffield Motorcycle Spares http://www.britbikespares.com/ although it took two goes to get the correct pipes.

tombbuster, I am restoring a '69 T100C. It did not have the high pipes so don't have dimensions but here are the parts - if it helps...

T100c pipes

Many thanks for your replies.

I'm on my second set of downpipes which don't fit. Either the bends are wrong or the inlet to push over the exhaust stubs is the wrong size or even both. I have my mind set on high level pipes so will keep trying until I get sorted. It's amazing just how much crap there is out there.
Cheers

have you tried Armours?

Some of their stuff doesn't fit, but but they put their hands up and will replace/refund without quibble.

Being in NI you can ring and talk to them.
