it seems it is the bidders not the seller.

Unless the seller is making silly bids to drive up the price.

The head started at $9.50 and it looks like 2 people really really want that particular head. Or have a lot of money to throw around.

18 bids on the bicycle pump? What is so special about it?

That head has healicoils in it as well! Surely that devalues it massively? If it had been sleeve repaired and flushed in so you could never tell it would be okay but helicoils?

I'd expect it to be shotblasted for that surely?

I think the man is bidding it up

Funny, but the shop that sold the pump for a whopping price is the one I use. I guess they saw the madness with the head that "dotler" is selling. They also have a '59 head listed with a B.I.N. of $1000. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1959-TRIUMPH...item3cccbcd551

Someone certainly is, but I'm not convinced it's the owner of the part. I've dealt with dotler and they seem honest.

I've long been on the lookout for a tyre pump for my Hustler. I've only ever seen one on the bay, and that went for $300! Mental!
