5ta generator wires ??

Hi, I am currently wiring my 5ta unit triumph and im converting it to 12v and running boyer ei. i no i have to join 2 wires together from the generator and that is my problem. I have 2 green wires and 1 red wire. i havnt taken a look at the generator yet but assume its original lucas. Has anybody come across this before?? which wires do i join as i want to be sure so i dont wreck anything. the engine was originally a 1960 3ta but now has t100 rods barrells and head.

Sounds like new wires have been joined to the originals, so best look at the stator and see which goes to which. Your only other clue would be where the wires went to your lighting switch, if you have a record.
When you ascertain, from memory its G/Y & G/W joined, leaving G/B alone.

It would normally be 47162 and the lead colours would be grn/yel, grn/blk, grn/wht. To convert to 12v you would join grn/yel with grn/blk.

I can't find any info on that stator or with those lead colours. Do you have a multimeter David, can you measure the resistance between the leads? Disconnected. It will probably be less than 1 ohm.
