I think the standard Castrol GTX 20w-50 is all that is needed, but if you can, try finding Kendall GT 20w-50 (Autozone used to carry it). It has slightly better numbers as far as viscosity index and additive package from all that I've read. I assume your filter is a aftermarket paper type?
I always ened up changing my oil every 1500 miles with a "proper" filter as opposed 1000 miles with the stock mesh screen.
