possible carb swap

Has anyone here tried using a jet ski carb on a classic triumph?

We have a few of the old 2 stroke 550 stand up jet ski parts in the shop. They were going to go to the scrap metal yard, until I took another look at the carbs. They are styled like a chain saw carb. There is no float bowl. Instead there is a fuel diaphragm, that pumps gas, using crankcase pressure. They are downdraft carbs on the skis, but there is no reason they cannot work as side draft carbs
The odd thing is that one of them looks like it will bolt right up to my 71 TR6 intake. I am really thinking of drilling out a timing plug, and tapping into crankcase pressure there

I've seen snowmobile carbs crossed over before but jet ski would be the first.

Guess it would even run upside down too. Hay, may be a good app for a stunter.
