She's a little ratty, but it should be a fun project. Almost everything is there.

Wow, nice find. I've been on the hunt for a pre-unit TR6 project for too long myself. Good luck with it, it'll be worth the effort.

Looks like an excellent project. What are your plans for it? Please tell me you aren't going to keep the Sportster tank on it! :chug:

Hey guys. Joe-Dirt, i'm definately not keeping that fiberglass peanut tank.(yep fiberglass) Not sure exactly what direction this project is headed. Hard tailed bobber, cafe style racer, or resto. I'm just glad that it has a pink slip and matching numbers. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Thanks.

I'd go for either cafe racer or bobber. Original restorations cost too much and will drive you nuts unless you are starting with a totally original bike. You can make a fun bobber or cafe racer without cutting it up, just in case sometime you want to go original.

I vote for the caféracer, they have that air of purposefullness (is that a word ?) about them and look fast even standing still. Why do you think Hinckley launched the Thruxton incarnation of their Bonneville not that long ago ?

The current look of your TR6 is more like what it is : a bodgejob ... not even a sidestand, tssss.
