Apparently they made a belt primary drive for the 63-70 unit bonneville engine, but I can't find any information about them online.

Does anybody have any input/insight/observations?

Thanks!

MAP Cycles sells a belt kit. There is another made in England it may be available through Norman Hyde. I came real close to buying one myself however they are pretty costly. It would be nice to eliminate oil in the primary though, I don't now how it would affect clutch operation.

If you buy the RIGHT ONE, it is like a dream. No slip, no drag and a two finger operation. Now that's how mine works but I can't say for any of the other makes. Check out the pictures in the photo album under 'Roys' SAINT'. Roy

You can also try Quiet Power Drive. I got a final belt drive for my Legend from Bob. The final drive was a good quality. I would assume his other products are similar.

The QPD units are very nice quality, and work exceptionally well.

I have no idea how well the MAP unit works. They have sold alot of them, so I would think they are fine too.
