Norton vs Triumph

Seems a daft question to ask on a Triumph forum but I know there are a lot of people here with a wide range of experience...
I would like to move on from my 350 T90 in order to be able to cruise at lower revs and with less stress. My ideal would be a TR6 of late 60s vintage but I find they are outside my price range. I have a chance to look at a Norton Dominator 99, late 50s, which I could afford. I have never owned a Norton. My questions are:

Is it a reasonably smooth and reliable motor, I chug along at no more than 60 generally?
The frame is second to none - are there any drawbacks to this machine that I may not have considered?

Buy it.

It'll be a great step up from the T90.

Plus, you'll only need to get a BSA to complete the ultimate BritIron garage!
