Center Stand Part # Search Your Books Please

Long story short, I needed a center stand. I got one from EBAY(my mistake again), and the part # is F12627. Please check your books and tell me what year this is for. I really needed 83-4943 for my '72. I might want to swap with the local parts guy, but I want to know what I have first. I could probably make this one work if I had to, but I'll try to get the correct one. Thanks again.

Your F12627 is for `71.

Let me try this again (sorry the beer is kickin' in), F12627 is called for in my 72 parts book, and the one I got from EBAY is 83-4943 ...

Did you find the 83-4943 number forged on the primary side leg of the stand? that's a forging number, not a part number. The other leg should have 83-4945 forged on it and the part number for the stand is 83-4615. It fits most of the 750 twins. The 83-2627 (or F12627) stand you need has 83-3071 forged on one leg and 83-3072 on the other, and it's about 3/4" longer than the stand you have.
