TR6 Trophy Speedo & Tacho

Can anyone recommend where I can get hold of replacement Smiths grey faced speedo & tacho for my '69 TR6, i've got black faced ones & have been told they should be grey...

Hi Paul,
Most good bike shops should stock them, there are several in the UK but I'm not sure about the US.

Note that the clocks changed around mid season in the 1970 model year, so there is a very good chance you have the correct clocks.
Triumph model years ran from August thru to July the following year, so if the build date of your bike is late 69 you most likely have the correct clocks.
There are a few tell tale signs on the later models, the rear grab rail on the early models was chrome and black, the later models all chrome. The side stand was modified with a adjustable stop screw. The gearbox plunger was changed to a leaf spring (look under the gearbox, if there is a blank boss you have a leaf spring)
Finally, the front engine mounts where bolted on in the later models.

If you give us your frame/engine number we will be able to figure out exactly what you should have.
