I am helping a friend to rebuild a Tiger Cub and we need to fit a new primary chain. can this be done by just taking off the alternator rotor and engine sprocket or does the clutch have to be removed instead / as well?

If its anything like my TR6R, the clutch and rotor have to come off together. Both come off as a whole and go back on the same way.
