Dunlop K70 or K81 ?

I know the most common choice for the restorers is the Dunlop K70, but what about the K81?

Any opinions or preferences?

HUGE difference between the two. I won't ride k70's even if period correct. The profile of the tire is quite flat. They look like they'd do a fine job on fireroads and the like but I ride strictly on paved roads. In the '60's and 70's every K70 I ever saw that had some miles on it was scalloped from uneven wear. Modern construction methods may have changed all this, I wouldn't know since I won't buy them.
The K81's rival modern tires in grip and wear, look the part and are not all that expensive either.
Are you all getting real sick of seeing the red headed, bugeyed skank and her loopy girlfriend on the top of nearly every web page? I would be looking for ways to REDUCE size if she was stalking me, that's for sure.

When I got my bike, the rear tire on it was so worn down it resembled an MH Race Master drag slick for motorcycles, to get the bike inspected I of course had to change it out, I decided to go with what was originally on the bike - a K70, they have very much come a long way with today's new materials, it has a more round profile, and the handling was improved by a 1000 percent, so for myself I'm quite satisfied.
