Very nice resto and that filter looks like it belongs on the bike.

I must've missed the original thread that talked about this filter. Who makes it and is there a website for it that shows technical details.

I've got Bonnies but still prefer the painted fenders of a Tiger. I think it's a much better look. Very nice bike!
regards,
Rob

The filter looks to be from JRC.

I still would like some more information about this filter

http://www.jrceng.com/gallery/album12

Would this filter mount to my 68 T100 easily ?
And what about replacing the filter, I did not see JRC selling replacements...

i bought the filter from British cycle supply, www.britcycle.com part # 631-04 for the OIF type, the fit and finish is perfect, it was $145, i also bought 2 extra filters at $18 each, i havent started the bike yet after a complete restoration so hope it works as nice as it looks, it has 2 welded brackets that mount perfectly between the fender mounts, looks like it came from the factory with it....very pleased

similar option , less $ http://www.mapcycle.com/ProductDesc....e=0&eq=&key=it

also available for OIF and also all chrome for both . replacement filters $5.95 . i believe all that style use the same Trident filter .

Ecose - very nice progress on that resto work. I also like the looks of the oil filter since it looks like it is part of the original bike.

What treatment if any did you apply to the bolts and nuts?

That bike is absolutely awesome. That looks like the perfect filter too, just like it belongs. I feel like I need to paint my fenders now, they look so much better than chrome.

Great job ecose.

no treatment on the nuts and bolts, i just polished up what i could and used some stainless and some new, the oil filter is expesive i know but it was the only one that looked like it should be there, the mounts are welded on and fit exactly in the tabs for the rear fender, i have spent a small fortune on this bike even doing almost all the work myself so a little more was ok, the paint was bought from Don Hutchison in CA and the pinstripes hand painted, everything in the motor is new and balanced i bought the bike from the original owner, who had the Morgo 750 kit put on the day he bought it and it is still the original bore,i just need the front wheel back from getting the spokes tweaked and i can gas and oil it up and try to start it, its the first brit bike i have done and if i learned anything so far its that you should try to rechrome/refurbish and use as much of the original parts as possible cause nothing out there seems as good quality or fits like the original. hope it rides as nice as it looks (ive never ridden it)

can anyone settle my concern about filters. The oil system is fairly low pressure and without a new pump even lower. Does the filter lower the pressure by restriction?. If l fit a Morgo gear pump to raise the pressure am l pushing the oil seals and joints. l know filters work, obviously, but changing the oil at shorter breaks seems a safer route or am l mistaken?. l need reassurance from one of our venerated members.
