Wes and four aces are making another DVD that is going to cover just the electrical for the bonneville. Do youself a favor. Get a cheap TV/DVD combo and put it in the garage with the Wes White DVD suck in the player. It's easier than going inside to look at a little bit that you might be stuck on. Then do the same thing with a small refrigerator and some beer. Life won't get much better than that.

gonna use the laptop in the gargae! DVD/Wireless hookup for research. Having the manuals on PDF helps too.

Working on the fridge and some heat though... Dont do the beer thing... Liquor is quicker!

Hey Tim, I got that DVD also, along with the complete rebuild DVD about a month ago. Haven't had the time yet to view. Hope I don't have to use the rebuild DVD, but it's good info to have. Haven't sealed my tank yet, been too cold.

Hey man!

I havent done the tank either. been around 30 all week little hard to keep the water hot in the shop.

I did get my first of 3 carbs out of the bath today. Spent some time on that and it turned out nicely! Better than I had originally thought! The slide was completely stuck till i tugged on it with some needle nose pliars! spent some time with the steel wool when i got it loose and now she is just fine!

Went to Lowes today and picked up some basic shop stuff and one of those handy dandy led flashlights that bends and twists for looking in the cylinders and valves. Wow I got my work cut out for me!

Oh, I found the cork and rubber plugs for doing the tank. Cheap and ready to go. I'm going to have to screw a wood screw in the rubber plug though. A little tough to get out once i seated it!

Anyway, take it easy! I'll keep you posted!

Oh, the wife really liked me cleaning the carbs off in the kitchen sink! I wont tell you what she said! I t wasnt lady like!

Tim,

Triumph rebuilding tip #1. NO SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE KITCHEN!! Only valid if you're married though.

while Wes's videos are informative , I veiw them as just that . not the bible .

if you want to learn how NOT to install main bearings , watch his video .

cheers , Woody

I too have the English 101. Pretty basic stuff leaving me wanting a more comprehensive look. I almost felt ripped off. If you listen to it carefully, you can tell where it has been edited, because more then once he makes mention of a technique that he covered previously, but doesn't exist on this DVD.

i agree! Really basic stuff! The only thing i really gathered from it was the valve adjustments! The balance of the DVD was wxtremely basic knowlege! I think you could figure out everything else with good old fashion trial and error!

That and Plewsy's videos. If anyone hasn't seen Plewsy's videos in the tech section, check them out. He does a great job explaining and videoing. Tim, watch Plewsy's on valve adjustments and compare to the DVD.
