Question Gerbing's Electric Gloves?

Hey Gents,

Merry Christmas/Happy December 25th!

I received a set of Gerbing's electric heated glove liners under the tree this morning. They're the kind that connect to the bike's battery, which raises a couple of questions for me:
  1. Are they compatible with the 42 year old pos earth system of my 67 TR6R?
  2. If so, which way do I connect it to the battery? As directed, or reversed according to the bike's system?
They draw 2.2 amps.

Probably elementary questions, but I don't want to risk screwing something up.

Happy Holidays and Cheers to all!
Joseph

Positive wire to positive terminal, negative wire to negative (via fuse).

Hopefully your alternator and battery are in good condition, and can handle the extra load.

Wore them in to work today as a test. Air temp around 37F, trip 35 minutes. The alternator handled the extra load pretty well.

Man, those things generate some serious heat! No more numb fingertips here!
