I am replacing the points lead wire from points to coils. The little round barrel connections will not fit through the hole behind the points plate. Do I need to remove the plate? Frankennut@aol.com

Remove the plate and snake one wire through, then the second one. Should go one at a time.

Mark the plate and side of the well with a fine flet tip pen, so you know where it lines up when you put the plate back in.

You should only have the bullet connectors on the end of the wire to feed through, Don't try to feed through the wires with the double-ended female connectors still on them.
