Info on hardware and wiring needed

Can someone help me identifying these parts...

A. Don't know what these 2 "screws" are for...

B. Redoing my wiring, and have no heck of a clue what wires are to go to this...

That looks like an axle nut, but it's not an original Triumph part.

The wires from that Tympanium regulator/rectifier go as follows:

Red = battery Positive (+) if you are running the standard positive ground system

Black = battery Negative (-)

Two yellow wires go to the two wires coming from your alternator. The alternator pigtail should be coming out the backside of the primary cover, or more likely way up underneath by the engine sprocket that drives the chain.

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays, and the extended weekend!!

Some quick electrical questions while we are on this subject...

How do I know if I'm running the standard positive ground system...I am to somewhat believe that the PO switched system to a negative ground system, but how can I confirm this.

Also, (red and black) wires from the rectifier should go to the battery? along w/ the wires from the wiring harness?

Previously I only had one wire going to each +/- (battery) terminal
