Hi all,

On my 1966 TR6R there is some oil collecting on the engine case at the timing hole bolt. it seems to be running down the engine fins. I can't really see the source. Could it be a leaky head gasket or push rod tube seal? Is there something more likely before I start tearing things apart?

Most likely the top push rod tube seal. To fix it you'll need to take the head off anyway, so you'll need a top-end gasket kit. Do all the push rod tube seals while you've got the head off.
