Classic Triumph or not

Do you guys think this Avon Products cologne bottle was roughly modeled from a classic Triumph? The label says Super Cycle - Wild Country. There are two side-by-side cylinders and pipes, similar to 1960's Triumphs. The engine and tranny cases are different on each side but not much detail. The front forks have gaiters.

Why would someone (me) keep a cologne bottle like this for 30 years

Looks like a BSA to me? Why would you keep a cologne bottle for 30 years?

Looks to me like it may have been saved in part because it hasn't been used "yet" if the greener part of the bottle indicates the unused portion.

I put "yet" in quotes because as I recall from when I used to get stuff like that as gifts in the early seventies when I was a teenager, it smelled like "Wild Country" all right - like a pile of fresh bear scat with some kerosene on it.

Maybe that's why, like me, Tex could never "remember" to slather it on before going out.

Definately not vintage triumph, it isn't leaking.

I like it. It would defiantly be on a shelf in the shed. maybe full of something useful, I don't know, maybe, some of Sir Plewsky's grindin pest.

Maybe just a "generic" motorcycle, its shape limited by the manufacturing process used, and cost of tooling?

Good one from DogTired "not a Triumph since it isn't leaking"

So true, not the best of cologne in the bottle. That's probably why it is still full. There were other colognes back then - all given as gifts. Brut, Aqua Velva, English Leather, and who can forget Old Spice which I kinda liked.

Yes I also question why I kept this old bottle for 30 years.... It didn't get better with age. But if I toss it, what would take its place on the shelf??? An old piston with a hole in it?

I agree with DAGAD, BSA.

All I have to do is get on the babe-magnet and drive it around, then they will flock to me. ....ummmm that is when I get the front end re-assembled!

Maybe for my next ride I'll slather on some of the hooch from that old cologne bottle. Woo Hoo - I'm feelin' wild now!
