Can someone post a picture of the proper (Stock) set-up on the front brake line. Mine is rigged and looks sloppy. I'm most interested in where it attaches to the lower triple clamp. I think the previous owner replaced the inccorrect oil lines and extended them with flexable metal tubing. the resivour (where the brake light switch is located) is zip tied to the mounting bracket. I'd guess that the D is the same

I've just put steel hoses on, the top hose goes through the yoke (clamp/tree) and then a solid pipe with in-line switch runs to the bottom yoke. It goes through an eye bolt that also clamps the fork leg, before becoming a hose again.
The hose runs down to the mudguard/fender with a small bracket where the guard is bolted to the leg. It becomes a pipe between the bracket and the caliper.

Thanks Dave. I'm kinda ok with the length from the caliper up to the fork flange but after that, I'm lost. A picture of the line where the brake light junction is would be great!

I hope that the D is the same but the pipe goes from top of the yoke to the other side bottom - like half of a swastika and the pressure switch is in the middle

I don't know if my 1979 E model is a good enough example, but here's what mine looks like.

Dave, You have no idea how much this helps me. The trouble you went thru to help a buddy triumph nut out is very appreciated. I owe you a beer. Your pictures say 1000 words. I thought it may route through the triple tree yoke because nothing else makes sence to go through that hole. Now my brake line will reach the bars and not dangle around the steering yoke. PERFECT!

Job done! When I bought this bike it was held together with glue and bandaids. Fortunately most of the parts just needed a good cleaning and put back the way they were supposed to go. Everything seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the photos.
