It's okay, I love Nortons. All of a sudden, I've got THREE Norton projects in work, and TWO MORE on thier way!

Here's my best Norton build to-date: Kenny Dreer's remaining prototype parts, on an actual running bike. I'll keep this one till my body reaches room temperature-

(just clicked on the video)

Sorry, but I don't like ANY situation involving lane-splitting at highway speeds, EVER.

That's how total idiots kill innocent people.

Once you're dead, THAT'S IT!

Anyone wants a custom monoshock Norton similar to the Blue bike, I'm building a very similar one with an aluminum alloy tank at the moment; it'll be for sale in about a month when I can photograph it as a mostly complete bike. Should be all done in about 2 months or less.

Paul,

That is a gorgeous bike and I like seeing normal handlebars in place. I suspect they result in a pretty comfy riding position as well.

Can you post some pics of your mono shock set up. I've never seen that on a Norton before. Is it your design or is this a kit?

And it's just one errant thread. Let's be crazy and let it run.

The Blue bike's monoshock swingarm & tranny cradle are one-off, custom built by Kenny Dreer when he FIRST prototyped the "new" Norton Commando 952. He later settled on the twin shock/961 that he eventually sold all rights to, to Stuart Garner in the UK. (they are now FINALLY in production for 2010 release)

The '74 850 I'm building uses an entirely new design that I prototyped and fabricated right here in my humble shop.

Here's the current mock-up (front wheel is NOT what will be used, it willbe just like the Blue bike)-
