Pop it into a rubbermaid tub with a chunk of plywood in the bottom, and put it on FedEx to me.

It'll come back just like new, I promise.

...seriously.

Whilst i don't doubt GPZ will do a great job, the cost of freight to the 'States and back may be a little prohibitive.

A couple you could try are: SRM in Wales, ACE Classics in London.
and Mick Hemmings Motorcycles in Northampton (he's the Norton man but he used to do Triumphs too)

All the best
Nick

Years ago I would have recommended Jim Alves in Street but sadly he is long gone. I have a friend who had Tony Powel of bike bits Camelford do his cub. Years ago he restored a tr6 to die for. Tell him Larry, Brians' friend with the cub sent you. Not exactly next door to you but a pleasant trip by Van/trailer.

thanks chaps

Hi, just rang tony at camelford, sounds like a man who knows his bikes. so this is the broke who will get the job.
Out of interest my reason for asking was that I have rang around 10 firms who place ads in the classic bike mags, and not one could give me a ball park price, and not one got back to me, no wonder the UK as gone to the dogs, total lack of interest.
