You can do an impromptu compression check with your thumb. pull your spark plugs and press your thumb over the hole as tight as you can. Kick or have some one kick the bike over briskly with the ignition off and the throttle open. You shouldn't be able to hold the pressure back with your thumb. If you can, there is your problem. It doesn't tell how much but does tell if there is some compression. Boyers like a fully charged battery to run correctly. Make sure yours is charged. Since you're running a Boyer, you could swap the plug leads and see if the problem goes to the other side. If it does, check all associated electrical connections. If they are good, and the battery is good, you may have a bad coil.
