Gearbox Plunger Conversion

Hi,

Having read some of the Posts on this subject I'm thinking of replacing the leaf spring on my 72 650 T120V gearbox in conjunction with other work this winter.

Could someone kindly advise me as to a suitable plunger for this job? Possibly the T140 part might be ok but would be grateful for confirmation of that.

Thanks

Hi brob00,

A earlier (pre 71) or later (73 on) will work, they are identical, both UNF threads. The conversion is quite easy, I did mine a few months ago.
Here are the parts you will need:
The plunger consists of 3 parts, the body, spring and the plunger, you will also want to order the sealing washer.
Part N°s Below:
Plunger Housing: 57-4400
Plunger Spring: 57-4459
Plunger: 57-7020
Sealing Washer: 57-3978

I hope this helps

A more positive shift and MUCH EASIER to index the box after a rebuild.
