Kill Button with boyer?

My 1966 TR6R has a normally open kill button. The 2 wires are attached to the + terminals on the coils. The button and cable looks original. Is there any way I can wire this button to work with a Boyer?

IO believe you just need to ground the BLK/YEL and/or BLK/WHT wire(s). Check your Boyer instruction sheet.

I don't see that on my instruction sheet. I have seen schematics using a normaly closed switch to cut power to the boyer, but never a way to use a normally open switch. Maybe add a relay?

I know that Sparx allows you to ground the "signal" circuit as a means of killing the ignition, I'm sure I've seen Boyer wiring instructions for a direct ground button (thought they were the same)

You are right again! I e-mailed Boyer and they said that I should wire my normaly open switch from the black/white stator plate/ignition unit wire to earth so it prevents spark. Thanks again!

Here's the information that I received from Pazon regarding their Sure-Fire system, which may be the same for a Boyer:

"If you have a grounding type kill pushbutton fitted, you can use it in one of two ways:

1. If the bike is negative ground: connect one switch contact to the negative terminal of ignition coil #2 (where the module black wire goes). This method must not be used with positive ground, as it will damage the ignition module.

2. Connect one switch contact into one of the trigger wires (normally Yellow-Black).

If it is a two contact type switch that closes a circuit (does not short to ground), you can connect it directly across the trigger wires (Y-B and W-B)."
