uk spec gas tank

Quick question folks, would a Triumph TR25 Trophy gas tank that looks like a "bread box" fit my 1972 OIF tiger.
I've always wanted a bigger tank to cruise with and the hole may look like it might line up. Sorry don't know the year. To view its on KIJIJI, Toronto, Triumph search.

Regards,

There were several different tanks for the TR25 depending on yr, spec etc. but the largest was only 3 gals(UK) which is only marginally bigger than your existing tank which I assume is the 2.5 gal (UK) "US" tank.
As to whether it would fit, the later TR25 (71 on) were OIF frames but I am not sure if the frame top tube of the TR25 was as wide as the 650 frame. If it is not as wide then it is unlikely to fit. An earlier, non OIF tank would certainly not fit.
You could go for a UK 650 OIF tank (4 gal UK) which would definitely fit but you would also have to change to a UK seat (shorter)
