Question contact breaker removal.........

Hi folks,

I have a Boyer ignition that I want to install in my 1966 TR6R. The workshop manual says that to remove the contact breaker I need to use service tool D782 (contact breaker cam extractor). Is it possible without this tool?

Best regards,

Curtis

Just remove the fixing bolt, then screw in the larger diameter bolt that screws into the actual points cam.

Next, tap it with the handle of a large screwdriver, right, left, top, bottom. It'll pop off after a couple of taps (don't be too shy)
