Hi,

Anybody there have any experience opening up gauges to repair/clean dust out of them. I see replacement bezels, seals and glass available from various sources but I am not sure how replace/seal the units. The bezel and glass can be removed by carefully sawing through with a Dremel. But it looks like the bezel would have to be crimped down using a press or similar. I wonder if anybody can advise.

Yes I know I should send the gauge to be professionally repaired - but at about $175 it seems a little steep.

Thanks
Tim

I will be interested to see how you get on, as I am about to order a bezel and glass myself,
my trip has stopped and it could do with a clean etc
Not sure what I will find when I open it up, but the eb*y add says it is possible to CAREFULLY peen over the rim. a bit at a time,
my speedo has been crimped with pliers, possibly, as there are some nice big scratches on the underside,
