Tail Lamp "extension" wire for 68 Bonnie

Im in the process of fitting a new tail lamp. I bought my bike as a basket case. The built in wires from the lamp dont stretch far enough under the rear mudguard to then loop back up under the mudguard up into the seat area.
However, i see in the parts book a "Tail lamp lead".
Is this an extension that runs under the mudguard to connect the lamp leads to the main harness?

Makes sense but just wanted to check. I bought a cheap asian replacement lens so bit worried its like the asian Horn switch I bought that had short wires that didnt reach the headlamp.

Cheers, Kevin

Kev,
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if there is an extension wire from under the seat to the back of the fender near the tail light. The answer to that is yes.
I am not exactly sure on the '68 but on later models the tail and stop wires connect under the seat running over the outside of the fender a short piece before entering inside the wheel well through a grommeted hole in the left side of the fender located under the seat area.
Hope this helps.

The last two pages of Triumph parts catalog 6 shows that part as #838604 - Stop and tail lamp lead.
