Changing from 47T to 45T rear sprocket?

I'm considering trying a 45 tooth rear sprocket on my TR7RV to get "longer legs". Has anyone here tried and how did it work out? Any disadvantages?

I have and really like it. As a matter of fact I'd like to try a 43T.

Changed to 45t a couple of years back, been happy with it. Drops a bit on acceleration, but lopes along at 3500k at 60 mph.

If you are fairly light, under 180 lb and do not ride two up on the
bike. Go with the 43 tooth unit on the rear, and a 20 on the front.

I love that set up on my ride.
