Reasonable Price for a Harris Bonnie

I've seen a Harris Bonneville for sale on the dreaded ebay for about £3100, is this reasonable? I don't know too much about them either - as in are they any good?

That's too open-ended a question. As with EVERY other bike for sale and the usual question of "is it worth it", we'd need to at least see pix and know some details about it.

If it's an 83 spec Harris (as they all should be), not one of his specials, and it's in great running shape, I'd say "possibly".

The Harris Bonnies were 750 twins with discs front and rear, electronic ignition and left-foot-shift. Standard 2-valve per cylinder layout, pushrod operated. Unless I'm mistaken, no e-start, and only the one disc up front.

A test ride says a lot about a bike, whenever possible...

Harris Bonnevilles originally resold at a discount to later Meriden T140's (78-83) probably due to "not being real Triumphs" plus having a number of bought in Italian components due to UK sourced parts not being available. Recently, all T140's seem to be rising in price but price depends very much on condition. Harris bikes are becoming more collectible due to relative rarity. For £3100, I would expect the bike to be in very good condition. £2500 will buy a good late Meriden bike. Go for as late a year as possible, ideally 82/83.
